How to add your Listing


The notes below tell you all about Listings and how to add and manage them.

To post a Listing on the site, you firstly need to register and create an account which is free of charge. You can then add your Listing.

How to open an account

On any page click on  ‘Artisan Sign In’ on the right hand side of the top blue bar

Then complete the ‘Create Free Account’ form with at least your user name, email address and password.
Tick your acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of use which can be read via the link.
Then click ‘Register Your Account’.

You now have an account and the top blue bar will show
Welcome, ‘your user name’  –  Dashboard  –  Log out

If you do not want to add your listing at that time please just Log out. You can sign in again later and go to the ‘Add Your Listing’ links on the main menu.

How to create your own listing on the site

If you already have an account, Sign In and click on ‘Add Listing Form’ under ‘Add Your Listing’ on the main menu.

This will take you to the page where you can enter the details and photos for your Listing.

What is a Listing ?

Listings show on the Premium and All Listing pages. Featured and Recent Listings also show on the Home Page.

Each Listing comprises a thumbnail image or logo and your business name and address. Clicking on the image or business name links to your Listing detail page.

The detail page can include a description of your expertise, photos, full contact details, website and social media links, a contact form, a specific map of your location, opening hours, languages spoken and any training/workshops you offer.

The amount of information on the detail page depends on the type of Listing you choose.

What types of Listing can I have ?

You can choose either a Basic Listing, a Premium Listing or a Featured Listing.

A Basic Listing is free and valid for 3 months as a trial and can be upgraded to a Premium Listing at any time. It gives only limited  information for visitors.

A Premium Listing is payable either monthly or annually and allows you to provide much more promotional information to tourists and visitors. Annual payment gives a 25% discount on paying monthly.

A Featured Listing is an additional promotional option for a Premium Listing only and is payable with your Premium Listing. Annual payment for this option gives a 50% discount on paying monthly.

What is the difference between a Basic and a Premium Listing ?

Whilst Basic Listings are free, a Premium Listing offers you far greater promotion and visibility by providing tourists and visitors with considerably more information and photos than a Basic Listing as well as other online promotional benefits for you.

A Premium Listing has a lead capture form on the Listing detail page which allows you to receive contact information and enquiries directly by email from potential clients. These can be viewed in your Dashboard.

With a Premium Listing you can also upgrade to the Featured Listing option for increased promotion. This adds your Listing to the sliders on the Home and/or Category pages giving you the maximum visibility to site visitors.

What products can I advertise in my Listing ?

Products must be artisanale and not industrial or manufactured by others. They must be your own creations, hand made in the region.
‘Revendeurs’ are not permitted on the site.

How many photos can I upload ?

For a Basic Listing you can upload only a thumbnail/logo image plus one Listing image.

For a Premium listing you can upload a thumbnail/logo image plus up to 10 Listing images which appear in a slider on your Listing detail page.

All images can be uploaded or you can drag and drop images directly from your computer.

What size photos should I upload ?

For best effect, to avoid distortion or cropping, all photos should be in jpeg format within the sizes specified below, with a resolution of 72 pixels/inch or equivalent and preferably no bigger than 100kb each.

Thumbnails/logos should be 215 x 170 pixels.

How to complete the Add Listing Form

Fill in as many of the Essential Detail and Additional information fields as you can even if you choose a Basic Listing to begin with as the information will be available when you upgrade to a Premium Listing.

Titles with a red asterisk are mandatory for the submission to be accepted.

Please follow the Help Notes by each field and any extra information below.

Enter Business Listing Details

Nom de Créateur/Entreprise – you can use your own name or that of your Atelier.

Adresse Complète – type in the address in the format in the note and click ‘Mettre sur la carte’ to indicate your address on the map. For Premium Listings this map pin appears on the Location Map on your Listing detail page and a pin of your town/village will also be put on the Home page map.

Description/Activité – Type in information on your activity, your skills and experience, your products and any training you offer. There must be no contact details, website or social media links in this field.

Categories – you may select as many categories as are relevant to your activity. If you cannot find a relevant category choose the nearest one and contact us with the Category you would like added.

La Vignette/Thumbnail – this image is mandatory and can be an image or a logo and must be no bigger than 215 x 170 pixels.

Listing Images – these appear as a slider on your Listing detail page(Premium only). Up to 10 images can be uploaded and must be within a size of 650px x 420px and less than 100kb each.

Additional Info

Contact Name – the main contact person for visitors and ACLO

Atelier/Magasin – do you have one people can visit? Indicate – Oui or Non or SRV by appointment

Horaires d’ouverture – List the hours par ex. 09h00 – 12h00, 14h00 – 19h00 or SRV

Langues parlées – include French and any other languages you can speak to visitors.

Cours et Stages – indicate Oui or Non if you offer training or workshops to visitors or you operate apprenticeships. More details can be added in the ‘Description’ field above.

Téléphone fixe et portable – to help visitors please use the full international format par ex. 00 33 468 65 42 76

Email – you may enter only one email address which should be for visitor communications. It can be different to the one you created your account with.

Website – you can enter one website address but start the address with ‘http://’ to ensure the link works correctly.

Social Media Links –  start each address with ‘http://’ to ensure the link works correctly.

Product Tags – A product tag is a sub category to indicate more detail about your skill category. par ex. Category – Sculptor may have Product Tags – bois,pierre,metal. Each tag word must be separated by a comma but no space, with a maximum of 40 characters including commas.

How to submit your Listing

At the bottom of the Add Listing form select the package you wish to apply to your Listing.
For Premium Listings you can also increase your visibility with the Featured Listing option which adds your Listing to the sliders on the Home and/or Category pages.

Click ‘Review Your Listing’ and on the next page you can preview your Listing and the payment due.

Having reviewed your Listing either click ‘Go Back’ if you wish to change something or, if you are happy with it, click ‘Check Out and Publish’.

If you have chosen a Premium Listing you will be taken directly to the PayPal website for payment.

If you have chosen a Basic Listing you will be informed that

                                          ‘Your Listing has been successfully submitted, pending approval by Admin’.

Please now Log out.

All Listings submitted remain pending for approval by Admin and will be visible on the site within 24hrs.

How to modify and manage your Listings

When you open an account and sign in you will have access to your own Dashboard via the link on the top blue bar  ‘Welcome, ‘your user name’ – Dashboard – Log out.’

Your Dashboard allows you to

  • view, edit/modify or delete your listing(s) at any time.
  • renew any expired Listings.
  • view the contact details and messages from visitors who have used the direct contact form on your Premium Listing detail page and reply to them.
  • view any visitor Reviews on your Premium Listing. All reviews remain pending until approved or not
    by you or even deleted if necessary. You can also reply to a review if you wish.
  • update your account profile at any time and change your password if you wish.

Please always Log out after making any modifications.

Note after any modification to a Listing it will change to ‘pending’ status and will not be visible on the site again until approved by Admin usually within 24hrs.

How to upgrade from a Basic to a Premium Listing

Sign in and go to your Dashboard to view your Listing(s).  Go to ‘Edit’ for the Listing you want to upgrade.

At the bottom of the ‘Edit’ page tick the ‘Upgrade’ box and select your Premium Listing Package. Click ‘Upgrade’ to go to the PayPal site for payment.

How to ‘claim’ a Complimentary Listing

From time to time ACL may publish Complimentary Listings which will appear on the site free for a limited period. If the Listing is yours, you will be notified by email so that you can claim it.

To ‘claim’ your Listing click the orange ‘Claim Listing’ button on the Listing detail page.

Follow the links for ‘Logging In’ or ‘Registering’ for a free account to begin the claiming process.

Log in if you already have an account or Register for a new account.

On the next page Click the orange ‘Continue’ button and select the package you wish to apply to the Listing – Free Basic, Annual Premium or Monthly Premium – see a comparison of Basic and Premium packages here.

If you choose Premium, you can also add a Featured Listing on the Homepage Slider and/or Category page slider.

Click ‘Continue’ to go to the PayPal site to pay for your Premium package.

If you have only chosen a Basic free package then click continue and you will receive

‘Listing has been claimed and is pending for admin approval.’

The Listing will change to ‘pending’ status and will not be visible on the site again until approved by Admin usually within 24hrs.

When your Listing is visible again you can log in and go to your Dashboard via the top link Welcome, ‘your user name’  –  Dashboard  –  Log out to edit or modify the Listing to your liking.
